Medacy’s Vision.
A family member asked me the other day, “What does Medacy do, what is Medacy’s Vision?” A straight forward question but I struggled to articulate an answer as we have evolved so much since launching in 2003. However, It’s really important to be able to communicate what we do to others so they understand the benefits of working with Medacy.
I have given the question a lot of thought since and I’m happy to say that I not have 20:20 vision about Medacy’s Vision:
To use Medacy’s experience and expertise to help clients realise the full potential of themselves, their product or their service
So what does that mean in practice?

Realising the full potential of a clinical service might include:
- The best outcome for patients e.g. Improved Blood pressure reading
- Most impactful intervention.
- Best result e.g. freeing up GP workload, improving patient safety, increasing access for patients or decreasing costs.
- The best use of NHS funds e.g. Best use of Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS)
- Reducing unplanned hospital admissions
- Reduce waiting time for appointments
- Improved QOF
- The biggest impact of PCN support.
Medacy’s Vision for Recruitment Services
Realising the full potential of our recruitment Service might include:
- Find a candidate pharmacist their ideal job.
- Find locum cover for a community pharmacy, a hospital pharmacy a GP practice or Prison Service Pharmacy.
- To fill a vacancy for a PCN, GP Practice or Community Pharmacy.
Medacy’s Vision for Consultancy Services
Realising the full potential for our Consultancy Service might include:
For dispensing doctor practice:
- Maximise the profitability of the dispensing doctor practice dispensary.
- To improve the running of the dispensary.
- To minimise the input needed from GPs.
For Pharmaceutical Industry Partners
- Maximising the market share of a product for service.
- The biggest increase in sales.
- To create and deliver training that delivers sustained improvement in the performance of a service or person.
