How our fully-managed GP pharmacist services work

Whether you need a GP pharmacist or pharmacy technician in-person at your practice or remotely, our fully-managed services are there to save you reduce your GP’s workload and improve patient outcomes.

We don’t use locums – all Medacy pharmacists are permanently employed by us, so we can directly oversee the quality and compliance of our pharmacists in your practice. All our pharmacists receive regular training and support from senior clinical staff at Medacy. This means the time you save won’t be eaten up managing and training your new pharmacists.

Why our services are right for GPs

Medacy is a specialist provider of pharmacist-led clinical services that takes the hassle out of benefiting from Clinical Pharmacy support.

No, all the Medacy Team members are directly employed rather than locums. Using permanent Medacy staff means that we can provide training, mentorship, and management to team members while ensuring compliance and quality assurance to clients.

As well as providing direct oversight and regular training of our staff, Medacy is registered with the CQC and compliant with the Data Protection and Security Toolkit and Cyber Essentials Certified.

Yes, Medacy’s clinical pharmacist for GPs complies with the requirements for Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) funding.

Our clinical Pharmacist support can be delivered remotely or in practice.

Our remote support is particularly effective in rural practices in the UK to address access issues and increase equality within healthcare services.

Medacy clinical pharmacists can be embedded in your practice in as little as 24 hours. As we employ a permanent team of clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and offer remote assistance we can provide rapid assistance that seamlessly integrates into your practice and can flex as your internal requirements need.

We work across the entire UK and already support GPs across the country in both urban and rural areas to meet the healthcare needs of their local populations.

For the duration of your engagement with Medacy, you not only have the support of an IP qualified Clinical Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician, you will also be assigned a Clinical Lead. Your Clinical Lead will provide regular 2-way feedback meetings ensuring quality and expectations are being met and to provide advice on how get maximum value from your investment in pharmacist services.

Medacy has developed an environment for its pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in which they can thrive.

We operate a remote practice Model internally, where our Pharmacists and Pharmacist Technicians are never alone – they have the combined knowledge of our team behind them providing advice, guidance and regular training.

This means the time you save on medicines related-activity can be truly spent on other areas of your practice and not on training and overseeing your new team member.

Feel free to call Medacy on 01677 252201 or 07971 187921 to discuss the services Medacy can provide or email shaun@medacy.co.uk.
