“The Medacy Tapes” podcast series for Clinical Pharmacists
Medacy have entered the world of podcasting with the launch of The Medacy Tapes!
I know we are very late to the party, but I hope we have learnt from the early adopters. We want to create a series of podcasts that only inform and entertain. No small feat for a series focusing on pharmacists and clinical pharmacy and a company that focuses on both!
Medacy has a story to tell, and podcasting is a fantastic way to get the story across. No matter how great you are in the written word, it isn’t easy to get you passion and emotion across on paper. It is at least for pharmacists like myself who hide behind the “I’m a scientist” excuse for their deplorable use of the Engish Language. Oh, and I’m from the North, so the Queen’s English is reet difficult for me to follow!
So, Episode 1 is about Medacy: In the episode, the founder and Managing Director, Shaun Hockey is interviewed by Marcus Hockey. (Son and currently completing a Masters in Journalism at St Mary’s University in Twickenham( https://twitter.com/MarcusHockey4?s=20))
Shaun talks about himself, why he set up Medacy and the future aims. Shaun talks about clinical pharmacists’ exciting opportunities to design services around people rather than buildings.

Future episodes will cover Medacy’s Clinical, recruitment and consultancy services in addition to warts and all commentary from an experienced pharmacist who goes back to University to complete his Non-Medical Prescribers course. Follow Rob as he starts his course and realises that academic courses’ expectation has changed massively since he completed his undergraduate course.
The podcasts are available on Spotify and as they say on all the best podcasts, wherever you get your podcasts!
Please let us know what you think, and we would welcome any suggestions for future subjects.
