Medacy is proud to support the Surge Vaccination programme in Bolton
I am proud to join the fantastic team at the Bolton GP federation (@boltongpfed) in their surge vaccination programme. Bolton hit the news last week as one of the locations with a high incidence of the Indian variant of COVID-19. On Thursday I visited the Bolton GP Federation offices and was amazed at the level of support they are providing to local people. The team were busy arranging vaccinations for housebound patients and developing solutions for patients with significant health needs.
The whole Bolton GP Federation team are pulling out all the stops to minimise the impact of COVID-19, and I’m proud to be helping in a very small way. The Vaccine Bus has caught the imagination of the whole NHS with Sir Simon Stevens visiting last week https://twitter.com/boltongpfed/status/1395776269942464512/photo/1Â but it’s the dedication of the team that most impressed me.
However, this dedication doesn’t surprise me as I’ve worked with the team before to launch recruit to their Clinical Pharmacists in GP Practice programme in 2017/18.
Acting as Chief Pharmacist to the GP Federation, I will be working with Michael Smith (@MJSmith_NHS) and his senior management team to support their surge vaccination programme.
