Preparing for a Medacy Interview
At Medacy, we are always interviewing. The rate-limiting step to growth is the recruitment of experienced clinical pharmacists who can hit the ground running and make a difference from day 1.
Like all well-organised companies, we know what we are looking for when we interview. So the questions we ask are designed to tease out information about the work your work at the moment and what you could bring to Medacy.
The questions we asked are fixed and cover the following areas:
- How long you have worked in Primary Care.
- CPPE Primary Care Pathway.
- Understanding what you do on a day-to-day basis in practice.
- Clinical Systems experience – which ones you have used.
- Prescribing – which clinical areas you are happy to prescribe in.
- Understand what you think your role is in practice.
- How you interact with other clinicians
- It is understanding your process for completing medication reviews.
- IT Security – understanding the steps you take to ensure that no one else can access clinical information.
- Your availability to work and notice period.
Each of these questions is linked to criteria that cover:
- Attitude
- Skills
- Communication
- Experience
- Availability.
- Date Security
We score each out of 5 to give a total out of 30.
So it’s not rocket science, but it has led to Medacy recruiting some fantastic pharmacists this year, but we need more!
